Gulliver Lake and Lake Level Control Structure

Located just north of the Lake Michigan shoreline, Gulliver Lake spans 837 square acres and reaches a maximum depth of 28 feet. The lake's current legal summer level is 614.65 feet NAVD88. The winter level is 613.90 feet NAVD88. Special Assessment District boundaries were established August 1, 2024.

Gulliver Lake's Lake Level Control Structure (LLCS)

Located on the south side of the lake, the Gulliver Lake LLCS manages water from the Gulliver Lake Outlet, which runs out to Lake Michigan.

Lake Level Control Structure Issues

  • Seepage and piping resulting in settlement behind spillway and wingwalls

  • Slab downstream of gate settled ~3-4 inches

  • Seawall and wingwalls show signs of deterioration on lakeside face
